Plot
It tells the story of a child who lost his mother at a young age and struggled to get by with his father. When his father's enemies forced him into debt and caused them to be evicted from their home, little Çakır, seeing his father in distress, helped him with a knife he found on the table and stabbed his father's enemy to death. Çakır, who continued to commit crimes while in prison, became a powerful figure.
Sinekatalog’s take
A rough Yeşilçam crime tale tracing a boy who stabs his father's tormentor and grows into a feared prison figure. It is a pulpy rise-by-violence story with melodramatic edges. Suitable for fans of gritty seventies Turkish underworld cinema.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
