Plot

Animated film based on the story of Alexander Pushkin. The new king's wife wants to get rid of their stepdaughter and expels it to certain death in the forest.

Sinekatalog’s take

Pushkin's fairy tale, in which a jealous queen sends her stepdaughter to die in the forest, is told here in lovingly drawn Soviet animation. The look is lush and folkloric. A classic for children and for those who love Russian storytelling.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
