Plot

In 1961, a 60-year-old taxi driver steals Goya’s portrait of the Duke of Wellington from the National Gallery in London. It was the first (and remains the only) theft in the Gallery’s history.

Sinekatalog’s take

A cheeky true-tale caper about an ordinary working man and a stolen painting, told with a light, old-fashioned British touch. The humor is gentle and the sentiment sincere, though it is cozy more than daring. Pleasant for anyone who likes quiet charm.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
