Plot
The annual kabuki show is the main attraction in a rural Japanese mountain town. However, Yoshi's life is thrown into disarray days before the performance when his estranged wife and former best friend arrive back in town...
Sinekatalog’s take
A small-town drama in which preparations for the annual kabuki show are upset by the return of a man's estranged wife and former best friend. It mixes rural community warmth with old wounds, and its modest scale suits the human feeling. A pleasant pick for fans of gentle Japanese ensemble stories.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
