Plot
Originally formed amidst the chaos of the 1970 Kent State anti-Vietnam War protest killings, the not quite new wave band Devo scored a hit with "Whip It" and gained mainstream success with their message of societal "de-evolution."
Sinekatalog’s take
A lively portrait of the oddball band whose satire of human decline became its own pop identity. The film is stuffed with archival gems and mischievous energy, and treats the group's ideas as seriously as its jokes. Essential for music nerds and curious newcomers.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
