Plot

The real fate of Jiří Arvéd Smíchovský, a prominent hermeticist, occultist, believer in black magic and an exceptionally well-educated person with a brilliant memory. This avid book lover had doctorates in law, theology and philosophy and was fluent in five languages.

Sinekatalog’s take

A biographical drama about an erudite Czech occultist whose passion for books and mysticism shaped his strange life. The subject is rich, if specialised, and the film will mainly hold the attention of those intrigued by esoteric history.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
