Ömer Kavur's 1987 film, adapted from Yusuf Atılgan's novel, is a slow, atmospheric study of loneliness and repressed desire.

Sinekatalog’s take

Ömer Kavur's brooding drama follows a solitary hotelkeeper in an Anatolian town whose obsession with a guest turns dark. Slow, eerie and sombre, with Macit Koper superb, it is a Turkish classic of alienation.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
