Plot

The National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), formed upon nationalization of the British Anglo-Iranian Oil Company, employed film systematically, producing many films on oil and petrochemical subjects. It also made films depicting Iran's progress and modernization, highlighting the role of the Shah and NIOC in that direction.

Sinekatalog’s take

An industrial film about an oil-field blaze, shot with a stylist's eye despite its corporate origins. It shows how a commission can become a work of striking imagery, and interests viewers who like cinematic non-fiction.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
