Plot
Russian army recruits complete training and take their posting in late 1980s Afghanistan, where the insurgents are slowly gaining the upper hand.
Sinekatalog’s take
A young-recruits war drama that spends its first half on harsh training and then drops the men into a hopeless mountain post in Afghanistan. It is loud, muddy and sincere about camaraderie, though its patriotism sometimes outruns its characters. Solid choice for fans of grunt-level combat stories.Sinekatalog’s own editorial review – not a user or critic quote.
